HML was founded late 1995 to serve Star Shipping A/S of Bergen, Norway (today : G2 Ocean AS), as port agents for their vessels calling Bremen. HML went into operation in January 1996.
Year by year, the number of represented carriers and liner services increased steadily. Today, HML is handling approximately 200 vessels per year, mainly in the forest products, steel and project cargo business.
In 2022, HML became port agents for the North Europe – North America service of Norlat Shipping Ltd, AS of Sarpsborg, Norway.
